Valrhona Gran Couva
Today I'm having a Valrhona Gran Couva Recolte 2006 chocolate bar with beans from the Gran Couva Plantation in Trinidad. It is exquisitely mild and a perfect chocolate for the transitioning chocolate eater. By transitioning I mean, a chocolate eater who only eats milk chocolate but would like to try to increase their dark chocolate consumption for the health benefits. This chocolate is on the milkier side, although it is still a dark at 64% cacao. There aren't many more of this Recolte left, so get them while their still some to be had.
